Function of the Notebook

The notebook is a comprehensive AI tool that can be used in a variety of ways to work with large amounts of data from static or dynamic sources. The AI accesses the selected sources (documents, websites, texts, internal data) and processes all kinds of analyses and questions about the sources or creates new content based on the sources:

• Search for content
• Questions about content
• Summary of content
• Qualitative analysis of content
• Creation of new content based on the sources
• Search for common content across multiple sources

All answers generated by the Notebook are based exclusively on the specified sources; so-called “speculation” is practically impossible. The statements created by the AI contain precise source references (quotations).

Notebook structure

The AI notebook is divided into a header menu and three resizable fields or columns:

• Header menu: Title, participants, and settings
• Sources: View and edit sources
• General chat: Communication with the AI

• Board: Storage for results from the chat in the form of notes, agent workflows

This is where the information about the notebook is displayed: name, participants, manager, status

There are three menu items on the right-hand side:

• Info: a brief overview of information about the notebook
• Options: this takes you to the most important settings for the notebook
  • Settings: Access general settings and participant management
  • Pin: pins the notebook to your dashboard (quick access)
  • Pin for all: this option is available if you are a workspace administrator and the notebook has "public" status. The notebook is pinned to the dashboard for all hub users (quick access)
  • Move: here you can move the notebook to another folder or workspace
  • Delete

• Add new:

  • Board Tools: create a new agent workflow (if available in your Notebook template) or add a new note
  • Sources: add more sources to the Notebook

Sources section:

• Hub sources: The RAG documents of the hub are listed here. These sources are available to everyone in the hub and can be edited by the hub administrators in the hub settings.
  • To use the hub sources, you must enable them in the notebook settings:
    • Options > Settings: enable "Use hub RAG files as sources" and then click Update in the lower right corner.
• Notebook sources: This section is individual for each notebook. These sources can be edited or supplemented by the Notebook Manager. The following can be used as sources:
  • Document: Upload PDF files
  • Website: Paste one or more website URLs to be extracted 
  • Text: Add text manually
  • INNO-VERSE Tool: Use AI Researches and/or Collections as sources
  • Notebook folder: Create a notebook folder to organize your sources

  • Search for internet sources using an AI assistant

General Chat area

Here you can chat with the sources you have selected in the source list on the left. The number of sources you have selected is displayed below the chat window.

The AI's responses are linked to the sources and can be saved as notes (however, for technical reasons, the source references are removed when you save a response as a note).

 

Board area

• Notes: Chat responses that are saved are stored here as notes. New notes can also be added manually, which in turn can be added and used as sources. 

• Agent workflow: Our agents are developed individually based on specific customer requirements.

  Currently available agents on request:

  • Research Agent: Designed to answer complex research questions based on freely available scientific literature. It follows a structured, multi-step workflow:
    • Evaluates the quality of the sources found
    • Applies user-defined filter criteria
    • Extracts relevant information
    • Creates a comprehensive, source-based research report
