The "Trends" menu item is used for the presentation or self-study of all trends available in the hub. Under this item, all megatrends and the associated macrotrends are displayed in detail and are directly linked to the corresponding current innovations in the content.
Additional trends can be added by the hub administrator in the hub administration under Settings > Trends / Industries (the “manage trends” button at the top right takes you directly there).
Call up and display trends
Once you have called up the Trends menu item, you will see an overview of all megatrends on the Trend homepage.
The overview is divided into the following areas
- Trend sets
- Megatrends
Using the ‘Expand all’ or ‘Collapse all’ buttons at the top right, you can display or hide the subordinate macro trends for each megatrend in this overall view.
Clicking on a megatrend or macrotrend opens the corresponding detailed view of the trend. This includes
- the megatrend or macrotrend with its description
- the trend hierarchy: megatrend with associated macrotrends
- the latest innovations in the respective trend with a direct link to the content area
Create Trend Sets
Trend sets can be used to combine any mega and/or macro trends into a set. For hub users who come from the food industry, for example, certain trends from the overall range are more important, while some are completely unimportant. Individually important trends can therefore be selected by the hub administrator and combined into trend sets.
To create a trend set, the hub administrator can click on manage trends at the top right to go directly to the Settings menu item in the hub administration. The menu item “Trends Sets” is then located on the left under “Trends”. A new set can be created via + new Trends Sets. A set consists of the following fields:
- Image
- Title
- Description
- Selection of mega and macro trends
- Add an attachment (document)
Once created, the Trends Set is displayed both in the hub administration and under the “Trends” menu item. If there are several Trends Sets, the order can be changed using the arrow buttons.
Creating a Trendradar based on a Trend Set
If you are in the “Trends” menu item and open one of the Trend Sets, you can use the three-dot menu to click on the option "Create new Trendradar with these trends".
