To manage the articles in a collection, you must be a manager of that collection.
There are three ways to add new articles to the collection:
- manual selection from the content search
- manual selection within the collection
-
automatic addition through created rules
Steps for adding articles via content search
- Navigate to the Content
- Open the article you want to add
- Click the star button on the right under the article title
- Select the Collection in which you would like to save the article by clicking on the checkbox
| Note: It is also possible to create a new collection from here by clicking + Create new collection. |
- Click on Save
Steps for adding items within the collection
- Navigate to the desired collection
- Click on the plus symbol on the right in the box, to go to the Advanced article search window
- Enter a search term in the search field and/or filter by content type, mega / macro trends, industries / sub-industries
- Then click on Start search
- Scroll through the search results and select the desired articles by clicking on the box to the left of the article image
| Note: If the search results show more than 12 items, you can scroll all the way down and continue browsing using the arrow buttons at the bottom left. |
- When you have finished your selection, click on Add article at the bottom right
- The items are now marked with the label “manually added”
Steps for automatic addition via dynamic rule
If you create dynamic filters and define rules for which items you want to have in your collection (e.g. which trends/industries), the items will be added automatically and updated daily.
- Navigate to the desired collection
- Click on Options on the top right and select Settings
- Go to the dynamic filters tab
- Click on + add rule
- Now use the trends, industries, tags and content types fields to define which criteria should be met. The rule then outputs all articles that contain at least one of the selected filters
- Then click on Save
- If you would also like to add an AND link, click + add rule again and repeat the steps above
|
Note: OR links result in the sum (i.e. filter 1 OR filter 2), AND links result in the intersection (for example, the collection with the rules macro trend "Cybersecurity" AND sub-industry "Insurance" only shows articles that have to do with cybersecurity AND the insurance industry) |
- When you are happy with all AND and OR filters and rules, click on Update at the bottom right of the tab
| Note: The bar at the bottom always shows you how many articles are being returned by your filter rules. |
