To create a new Collection, you must be an administrator or member of the workspace.
Steps to create a new Collection
- Navigate to Tools in the main menu (your hub administrator may have deactivated this menu item. Then follow this post: Create a new Collection in the workspace)
- Click on the Create new + button
- If there are multiple workspaces or folders, you must first select the location where you want to create the Collection from the list
- If all requirements are met (your hub licence includes the Collection and you are the administrator or member of the selected workspace), the Collection becomes active and you can click on it
- If you want to assign an image, click on Upload image
- Enter a title, a short description and select the status private or public
| Note: To create a public collection, you must be an administrator of the workspace. Private collections are only visible to invited participants, public collections are visible to all users of the workspace. |
- Now you have two options:
- Add filters to the collection to make it dynamic. “Dynamic” means that all new items that match the filters are automatically added to the collection every day. Click on DYNAMIC FILTER > and create the rules for your dynamic collection
- Click on Create without filter if you want to add the items manually. Follow this article to learn how to add items manually
| Note: If you now choose “Create without filter”, you can still add dynamic filters later via the settings. |
Create rules for the dynamic collection
Create and link rules and sub-rules to get filtered content in the collection. The collection is updated daily and always contains the latest articles that match the rules.
- Click on + add rule
- Now use the trends, industries, tags and content types fields to define which criteria should be met. The rule then outputs all articles that contain at least one of the selected filters
- Then click on Save
- If you would also like to add an AND link, click + add rule again and repeat the steps above
|
Note: OR links result in the sum (i.e. filter 1 OR filter 2), AND links result in the intersection (for example, the collection with the rules macro trend "Cybersecurity" AND sub-industry "Insurance" only shows articles that have to do with cybersecurity AND the insurance industry) |
- When you are happy with all AND and OR filters and rules, click on Create collection at the bottom right of the tab
| Note: The bar at the bottom always shows you how many articles are being returned by your filter rules. |
